My Mechanical pencil is not working?
The most common problem for mechanical pencils is a small piece of lead causing a blockage in the chamber. This can easily be removed by holding open the mechanism and remove it. Some pencils have a pin like tool on the end of the eraser, if your eraser does not have this you can always use a pin or needle.
When replacing new leads, feed one lead through first then put your spare leads in. Do not put in any more than 3 or 4 spare leads at any one time, this will cause a blockage.
Always check you are using the correct size of lead for your pencil. Pencil leads are made in many sizes, the most common are 0.5mm, 0.7mm and 0.9mm, there are also more specialist sizes 0.3mm,1.18mm,1.4mm and 3.15mm according to the brand, for assistance please call our customer service department.
please note older pencils more than thirty years old often took 1.0mm which are no longer made, these can sometimes be converted via our repair department or making a lager lead smaller by filling down.
If your pencil is still not working, it may need to be returned to the manufacturer for a technician to look at.
